2 and a half years later...

Well there is failing to keep your blog up to date and totally vanishing...

I last posted soon after Mum died... the day before her funeral I discovered there was something wrong with my left breast and it turned out to be the most aggressive type of breast cancer there is... I guess I never did do things by half... So 2 and a half years later and I've had chemo, mastectomy, radiotherapy, a second mastectomy and still seem to be here... Along the way I have made some incredible friends who I will have for life and love to pieces, sadly along the way far too many wonderful women have died and the names and stories of each one are etched on my heart...

Scrapping - don't do too much of that these days although I go through spells of having good intentions...

Alter it!!!!

Hello... It's my turn to set the challenge this week and I thought I would do something different...I want to challenge you to alter something... my example involves a bird box I bought from Woolworths for £1.69 and the Prima Caliope collection set from the shop...
But you can use anything you like... picture frame, box... If you want to still do a layout or card alter something you use... Change the appearance of buttons, use paint on something let your imagination run wild...As usual there will be a £10.00 e-voucher for the lucky person whose name is pulled out of the hat, all you have to do is pop back here before 9am next saturday and leave us a link to your creation or drop us an email letting us know where to look...

And I quote!

This week's challenge over on the shop blog is to use a quote or saying on a layout or card...
I've decided to use the Prima Caliope paper collection pack for my example. The layout shows me and my son on the day he was born...

The quote I used is by Helen Keller and reads -

"The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt in the heart."

Cover girls!

This week's challenge over on the shop blog is to do a lo or card based on a album cover...
I have done 2 samples both using yet more photos of Milly...:D
The first uses french twist and is based on Madonna's Immaculate collection...
The second was an idea of my hubby's and is based on The Beatles White album...

Simply Foamtastic!!!

It's my turn to set the challenge over on the shop blog today... so I've decided to challenge everyone to use some foam... I've used some white funky foam and my sizzix sunset alphabet to make the titles for this layout and card... But you can feel free to use any foam you have lying around your stash including the small foam pads to use the layer up embellishments etc...

Be sure to pop by the shop blog and leave a link to your creation... you have until 9am next saturday...

I've used the My Mind's Eye Bliss kit and the layout once again shows Milly my mother in law's labrador puppy...

Don't for get to pop over to the shop blog and leave us a link to your creation - if your name is pulled out of the hat you will win a £10.00 e-voucher for the shop...:D
